In 2009, Nadya Suleman achieved global recognition as ‘Octomom’ after the birth of her octuplets.
Prior to welcoming the first surviving octuplets,
Nadya was already a mother to six children.

After gaining widespread attention from giving birth to octuplets,
Nadya, who was unemployed,
faced significant financial challenges
and explored various avenues to provide for her substantial family.
She pursued unconventional methods such as posing nude for photographs,
briefly working in adult entertainment,
participating in celebrity boxing matches,
and attempting to trademark the moniker “Octomom” for commercial purposes.

Her motives and decisions were frequently questioned,
yet ultimately,
everyone acknowledged her determined efforts to support her large family.

As of 2013,
Nadya made the decision to withdraw from the public eye.

“There was definitely a catalyst — my girls, particularly my oldest daughter Amerah,”
Suleman disclosed to People in 2016.
“She was about 10, and she started integrating my traits and behaviors.”

She continued,
“After I had observed my daughter beginning to emulate me,
I saw her going down that same potentially destructive path,
and I realized at that moment I’d rather be homeless in my van with all 14 kids
than continuing down this path.
It was not what I wanted for my children.”

The octuplets—Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Josiah, and Makai—
celebrated their 15th birthday this year.
Their remarkable mother marked the milestone
by sharing a nostalgic image of the siblings commemorating their first birthday.

Nadya rarely posts pictures of her children,
but she occasionally provides updates to her followers.

When the eighth grade commenced,
the proud mother shared a photograph of her octuplets
and expressed,
“Feel proud of yourselves, children,
for being kind, respectful,
and helpful to your classmates, teachers, and school staff.”
She noted that her teenagers serve as exceptional role models
for the sixth and seventh graders.

She included a single red heart emoji and stated,
“I love you,”
before concluding her tweet with a “side note to critics.”

“Their older siblings did not want me to post a picture on their first day.
I respect their choice,
so should you,” she wrote.

Last year,
Nadya commemorated her octuplets becoming teenagers
by sharing a heartfelt tribute post on Instagram.

“You are all growing into some of the most kind, humble, grateful and loving human beings I have ever known.
Each of you possess rare and unique characteristics,
and are unlike any other child of your age,
particularly in our society today,” she wrote at the time.

She described her children as
“unselfish, compassionate, humble, and affectionate,
reverent, devoted to God.”
She added:
“I have never witnessed kids who care and desire to help others,
especially those who are less fortunate,
as boldly and confidently as all of you do.”

“You are not followers of this shallow world,
but of a God that created and loves you unconditionally.
I do not know what I could possibly have done to deserve being blessed so bountifully,”
she further wrote.
“I love you.”

Isn’t their family filled with warmth and devotion?
