The alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, has since been arrested and is facing “single counts of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, and violent offense in the presence of a child, along with two counts each of obstruction of justice and witness tampering,” according to People magazine.

Charlie and Erika Kirk shared two young children: a daughter, aged two, and a son, aged sixteen months.

In the days following her husband’s death, Erika Kirk addressed the nation, expressing gratitude to the emergency personnel who did everything possible to save Charlie. She also thanked Vice President JD Vance and his wife for assisting in bringing Charlie’s coffin home, as well as President Donald Trump, whom Charlie Kirk supported and admired.

Taking on the role of CEO of her late husband’s non-profit organization, Erika Kirk appeared on The Charlie Kirk Show to affirm the continuation of his work.

“The Charlie Kirk Show is not going anywhere,” Erika said. “My husband’s voice will live on. The show will go on. We will have rotating hosts, rotating casts, rotating people coming on. It is going to be continually the north star of the conservative movement, of the voice of the youth, of the voice of the base, and that will not end.”

She also announced plans to continue Charlie’s college campus tour nationwide, known as the American Comeback Tour.

“We’ll never be silenced,” Erika added. “That’s why continuing his platform in a beautiful, honorable way will reinforce that he will never be silenced. My husband’s voice will go on.”

Turning Point USA, widely regarded as the largest conservative student movement in the United States, maintains groups at more than 3,000 universities and high schools. Erika Kirk affirmed that the organization is moving forward “full steam ahead.”

During Charlie Kirk’s memorial in Glendale, Arizona, Erika delivered an emotional speech. She recounted her visit to Charlie in the hospital after his death and shared her decision to forgive his alleged killer.

“My husband, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life. That man, that young man, I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did and it is what Charlie would do,” Erika Kirk said.

She concluded with a message of faith and compassion: “The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.”
